An amazing bust of a Portuguese traditional fisherman, from Póvoa de Varzim. The expression Ala-Arriba means literally “Up and forward!” and comes from the team effort where fishermen would join efforts and together drag the wooden boats from the sea to the beach sand, an impressive work that defies strength and the power of teamwork.
